Sony Xperia Z officially priced, pre-order for £529 in the UK

From our recent report, you may have already known that the Sony Xperia Z smartphone is likely to be available in Japan on February 9 which is just more than a week away and working Sony Xperia Z demo units had already started to arrive in stores in Japan. But, there was no official information on its pricing.

Now, the pricing info of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone has appeared on Sony’s official website in the United Kingdom with a “Coming Soon” status. The smartphone will be priced at £529 (€617) which is around $839. Now, you can pre-order for the smartphone and when the smartphone becomes available for shipping, you will receive an email notification. The device will be available in three different colors: Black, White and Purple.

But earlier, ahead of unveiling the smartphone at CES 2013, it was rumored to be available for 19990 Thai Baht (around $658) and international price of the smartphone to be around $750.

The Sony Xperia Z is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with a 5-inch Reality Full HD display, 443 PPI of pixel density, packed with Qualcomm’s APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with a Quad-Core Processor, 2GB of RAM, a rear-facing 13MP Fast Capture camera with Exmor RS, a front-facing 2 megapixel HD camera with Exmor R sensor for forwarding video chats, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD slot for memory expansion support, micro USB 2.0, microHDMI port via MHL support, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, preloaded WALKMAN, Album and Movies apps, a 2,300mAh battery, water/dust resistance and more.
