Well, here it is folks. We knew it was coming. Sprint has officially confirmed that it is gearing up to bring the Samsung Galaxy Nexus later this year. Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the carrier;s first 4G LTE enabled handset. Sprint has planned to begin offering its 4G LTE devices in mid-2012.
Sprint’s own version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is having all the same features as that of the Verizon’s version of Samsung Galaxy Nexus except a couple of changes. Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus houses a 1.5GHz dual-core processor instead of the 1.2GHz processor of the Verizon branded GNex handset. Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus will have full support for Google Wallet transactions over NFC functionality. Other specifications are including 4.65 Super AMOLED HD display with 1280 X 720 pixel of resolution, 16Gb internal storage, dual-cameras, 1080p HD video recording capability and it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

According to the reports, Huawei hotspot is showing off download speeds closer to 50Mbps on Sprint LTE network. So, the carrier’s 4G LTE network is working up to be a pretty fast. The price info and an exact release date details have yet to be announced by the carrier officially.
