Good news for Sprint branded Samsung Replenish handsets owners. Sprint has started rolling out a new software update for the Samsung Replenish handset. The new firmware update EK18 will carry the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS goodies, along with other improvements and bug fixes for the device. The list of the changes to happen with OTA update EK18:
# Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.
# Operating system’s speed and efficiency improvements.
# One touch word selection and copy/paste.
# Fix for SMS Messaging issue.
# Better Power management.
# Addition of Downloads Manager.

The new OTA maintenance update should make its way to the Samsung Replenish handset at any moment to notify you when it’s available. If the fails to make a way to your device, you can pull the update by heading over to Home –> Menu –> then Settings –> select About Phone –> hit Software Updates and then select Check Now button. The update should be waiting for you at this stage and if the update found, accept it and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the update process successfully in just 10 minutes to upgrade your handset to Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
