Sprint To Launch Samsung Within, HTC EVO 3D, Motorola Photon 4G This Summer?

Earlier, we’ve reported that Sprint is expected to release the Samsung Galaxy S II as “Samsung Within” in late July. Well, some sources are suggesting that Sprint may launch Samsung Within smartphone along with the Motorola Photon 4G and HTC EVO 3D handsets in this summer.

HTC EVO 3D handset is believed to be launching on June 24th, according to the RadioShack’s latest leaked promotional flyer. HTC EVO 3D comes with Android v2.3 Gingerbread skinned with the latest HTC Sense UI customizations, 5 megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video recording in 2D and 720p in 3D capability, 1.3 megapixel camera on the front side to make video chats, runs on 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, sporting a 4.3-inch 3D S-LCD screen with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio, HDMI port, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, The Green Hornet 3D blockbuster movie, Blockbuster On Demand app, Gameloft Storefront, the new HTC Watch movie app, and more.

Sprint has revamped last year’s Samsung Galaxy S as Samsung Epic 4G by adding a QWERTY keyboard, and 4G radio inside it. There is no confirmation yet about the addition of QWERTY keyboard, and 4G WiMAX capability for Sprint versioned Samsung Galaxy Within. The price of this edition is expected to be $350 after MIR. Samsung Within is going to be shipped with the latest Gingerbread flavor of Android OS, dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8MP rear camera, 1080p HD video recording, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM and more.

A few days back, we came to know that Sprint is readying its own versioned Verizon’s branded Motorola Droid X2, which has been recently released. Sprint branded Droid X2 is expected to be launching on the name of Motorola Photon 4G with model number ‘MB855’, and it will be having qHD type display with the resolution of 960 x 450 pixels, along with Sprint’s speedy 4G WiMAX connectivity.

Other specs include dual-core 1GHz processor, Android 2.2 Froyo, an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with continuous autofocus and HD video recording, 512MB of RAM, 8GB on-board storage, 8GB pre-installed SD card, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, a-GPS, USB, HDMI ports, DLNA capability, Android Market and more.

Sprint is going to hold a Luncheon event with Motorola on June 9th. We can expect the announcement of Motorola Photon 4G handset to happen there. In June month, Sprint is also releasing two business class phones – one is the Gingerbread powered Motorola XPRT (on June 5th), and the other one is rugged iDEN powered Motorola Titanium with Nextel Direct Connect service.
