More than a couple of weeks ago, AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy S II handset has been upgraded with a new firmware update. Now it’s time for the users of the T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy S II handsets. Recently, T-Mobile has rolled out the new software updates for HTC Amaze 4G and HTC Sensation 4G handsets, bringing the exclusive Wi-Fi Calling feature for Amaze 4G. Now, the carrier is also enabling the Wi-Fi Calling feature for its Samsung Galaxy S II handset. The new software update brings the software version as the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with new build number T989VUVKL1. The following improvements will be carrying out by the new software update.

# Caller ID enhancements.
# Battery enhancements.
# Wi-Fi calling enhancements.

T-Mobile has confirmed that the OTA software update is being rolled out over the coming weeks. The update is also available via Kies Mini software. If the update hasn’t yet prompted your handset, you can manually perform the update process by heading over to Menu –> Settings –> Software Update –> Check Now –> If the update available –> Accept it and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrade process.
