US Galaxy Z Flip getting One UI 4.1.1 (Android 12S) Update

Samsung has released a new software update for the original Galaxy Z Flip handset, which comes with the One UI 4.1.1-based Android 12S OS features. Please note that this update is rolling out for the Z Flip owners in the US. A few weeks ago, Samsung began rolling out One UI 4.1.1 based Android 12L update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 devices. This new update for Galaxy Z Flip delivers several features that arrived with the brand-new Galaxy Z Flip 4.

This update also contains the September 2022 security patch level and the build number of this update is gonna be F700USQU5GVHA. This update involves a download of 1GB and brings a bunch of enhancements for the Galaxy Z Flip including the newly added gestures for Multi-Window and Pop-Up View, as well as a new edition to the built-in Flex Mode which lets PC-style touch colors when the device is partially folded.

This update also lets you set different call backgrounds for each contact. After upgrading to this build One UI 4.1.1, Bixby text and object recognition work in apps like Gallery and Camera, and the My Files app gets more powerful with a better search. You can rearrange the buttons for emojis and stickers, and customize the space bar in the Samsung Keyboard app.

If you live in the USA and haven’t received the update on your Samsung Galaxy Flip yet, you can always check for it manually by heading to your flip phone’s Settings –> Software Update menu and hitting the Download and Install button.
