The new HTC Droid DNA is coming and it is coming soon. Verizon made it official just a day before its official launch event. Verizon and HTC are hosting an event in New York city On November 13th at 11AM EST and DROID DNA is expected to be unveiled at the event. It seems Verizon is gearing up to announce it and yesterday’s evidence comes in the form of the phone landing on Verizon’s droiddoes.com website, where all of Verizon’s Droid-branded devices are presented. Well, at this very moment, the HTC Droid DNA can’t be found at the DroidDoes website, but the first news item listed (see above image) says “DROID DNA UNBOXING,” and the web page doesn’t reveal anything we didn’t already know about super smartphone.
It’s worth noting that The HTC “DROID DNA” name has been officially confirmed by Verizon and we are also presented with a couple of press renders of the phone showing off the front and back sides. Thanks again to the twitter courtesy of @evleaks.
As you can see in the below image, HTC Droid DNA is quiet identical to the Japan-exclusive HTC J Butterfly handset, which was made official in last month. It will have an amazing 5-inch 1080p display at 440PPI, blazing fast quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, and it’s going to be a 4G LTE device. Other features are including an 8MP camera on back, 2MP front facing snapper, Beats Audio enhancements, and it will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with HTC Sense 4+ on top of it. FCC has already approved the Droid DNA phone with Verizon’s CDMA/LTE bands.
Verizon will team up with PhoneDog to present the live unboxing of the Droid DNA handset on Google+ Hangout on November 19th, ‘the day before it launches.” That means it is supposed to hit the Verizon stores on November 20th. The new details on droiddoes website makes us believe that it will be launched officially tomorrow. Stay tuned for more details.
