The second American pre-paid carrier has joined the party to offer both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S handsets. Virgin Mobile USA has officially confirmed that it will begin selling the Apple iPhone and iPhones 4S handset on June 29th. Cricket Wireless would be the first pre-paid carrier to launch both these handsets in the U.S. on June 22nd. Virgin Mobile USA branded Apple iPhone 4S 16GB will be priced at $649, while the iPhone 4 8GB handset checks in at $549.
Both iPhones will be offered with Virgin Mobile’s $30 monthly plan with 300 minutes and unlimited messaging and data, a $40 per month plan with 1200 minutes and unlimited messaging and data or a $50 plan with unlimited everything. The carrier is letting you to get $5 off of their monthly plan by registering for automatic monthly payments with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account.
