vivo has officially unveiled the successor to its first tablet, the vivo Pad 2, in China. The latest tablet from the brand boasts a number of impressive features, including a 144Hz screen, Dimensity 9000 chipset, and a massive 10,000 mAh battery. At the same event, the Chinese manufacturer has also announced two of its latest foldable phones – vivo X Fold 2, and vivo X Flip.
Vivo Pad 2 Features
The vivo Pad2 features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1800 x 2880 pixels and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel boasts an aspect ratio of 7:5, which makes it easier to view vertical content. The device comes with a sleek metal unibody design and four speakers that have undergone special Golden Ear tuning to provide an immersive audio experience.
The vivo Pad2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It features a dual-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies. The tablet comes with a large 10,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, providing a long-lasting battery life for extended use.
The vivo Pad2 runs on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13. Along with the tablet, vivo has introduced a new keyboard cover case with a built-in trackpad, providing a laptop-like experience. The company has also launched a second-generation stylus that attaches to the side of the tablet via magnets, making it easier to carry and use.
The vivo Pad 2 comes in two RAM options – 8GB and 12GB, with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The storage is based on the fast UFS 3.1 technology. The vivo Pad2 is available in Blue, Grey, and Purple colors and is priced at 2399 yuan (approximately $348 / Rs. 28,650) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, 2799 yuan (approximately $407 / Rs. 33,425) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, 3099 yuan (approximately $450 / Rs. 37,010) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and 3399 yuan (approximately $494 / Rs. 40,600) for the 12GB + 512GB variant.
The Pencil2 and Smart Touch Keyboard 2 for Pad2 are priced at 499 yuan (approximately $72 / Rs. 5,960) and 599 yuan (approximately $87 / Rs. 7,150), respectively. Pre-orders are available starting today, and the tablet will be available for sale starting from April 24th.
