To ensure excellent lighting in various conditions, the device is equipped with dual soft-LED flash units that are embedded in the top bezel.

The rear camera setup of the Vivo S17 is equally impressive. It includes a primary 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), enabling sharp and steady photos even in challenging scenarios. The Vivo S17t stands out as the first device to incorporate the Dimensity 8050 SoC, bringing its unique capabilities to the table. Vivo has introduced an innovative technology known as “particle ink” for the rear design of the Vivo S17 series. This technology was developed as part of a research project in 2020. The concept revolves around utilizing an invisible magnetic force to arrange approximately 15 million magnetic particles on the back panel of each phone. The result is the creation of intricate patterns that interact with light and shadow, producing a visually captivating effect.

The implementation of particle ink involves a meticulous process that includes three high-temperature baking stages. Each step is carefully timed within a span of 30 seconds to achieve the desired cascading effect of light and shadow. This meticulous approach ensures that the patterns on the back panel of the Vivo S17 series are precisely aligned and visually striking.

By incorporating particle ink technology, Vivo has achieved a unique and visually impressive appearance for the Vivo S17 series. The interplay of light and shadow adds depth and dimension to the design, elevating the overall aesthetic appeal of the devices.

The Vivo S17 offers customers a choice between three different variants based on RAM and storage capacities. The first variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the second variant features 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the highest-end variant offers 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. These variants are priced at 2,499 Yuan ($351), 2,799 Yuan ($394), and 2,999 Yuan (~$422) respectively.

The Vivo S17 is available in three attractive color options: Mountain Sea Green (blue), Sea of Flowers (pink), and Black. These color options allow users to select a variant that matches their personal style and preferences.

The Vivo S17 is set to go on sale in China starting from June 6. However, Vivo has not yet provided any official details regarding the configurations, pricing, and availability of the Vivo S17t.
