Vivo X90 and X90 Pro coming to India on April 26th: Here’s what to expect

Vivo is preparing to launch its next flagship model, the Vivo X90 series, in India. According to rumors, the Indian version of the Vivo X90 series is expected to be identical to the version that was already launched in China in 2022. The upcoming series will consist of two models, the Vivo X90 and the Vivo X90 Pro, both of which are designed to cater to the needs of the Indian audience.

The launch date for the Vivo X90 series has been confirmed for April 26th, 2023. Vivo announced the launch date through its official Twitter handle, inviting users to “be the first to experience the Xtreme”. The launch event is scheduled for 12 PM on the aforementioned date, and the company promises more updates to follow.

Some of the common features of the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, as per their China versions, are:

  1. MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor
  2. Vivo V2 ISP
  3. 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels
  4. Android 13 with OriginOS 3
  5. In-display fingerprint sensor
  6. 5G/4G network support
  7. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and Hi-res audio support
  8. IP rating for water and dust resistance

Additionally, both devices feature 32MP front-facing cameras, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. However, the X90 Pro has some upgraded features such as a better telephoto lens, a slightly larger battery with wireless charging support, and NFC connectivity.

While the official pricing for the Vivo X90 series in India has not yet been revealed by the company, we can estimate the cost based on the pricing of the Chinese version. In China, the Vivo X90 is priced starting at ¥3,699, which translates to approximately $520, £430, or ₹44,111.47 in other currencies.

On the other hand, the Vivo X90 Pro is priced starting at €1,199/¥4,999, which translates to approximately $700, £590, or ₹59,602.79. These estimates can give us an idea of what to expect in terms of pricing for the Vivo X90 series in India, although it’s worth noting that the final price may differ due to various factors such as taxes and local market conditions.

It appears that Vivo may not be introducing the Vivo X90 Pro Plus to the Indian market, contrary to earlier rumors. Nevertheless, the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro models are still highly anticipated and are expected to offer a range of innovative features and cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving needs of smartphone users in India.
