vivo X90s Officially Announced, Featuring the New Dimensity 9200+ Chipset

The Chinese manufacturer today unveiled the vivo X90s, a subtle enhancement to the previously released X90 model, which made its debut in November of last year. Surprisingly, just after a span of seven months since its initial announcement, the vivo X90 has received a mid-cycle rejuvenation in the form of the vivo X90s.

Staying true to its name, the new vivo X90s maintains the majority of specifications from its predecessor, the X90, while receiving a minor update in the form of an upgraded chipset. The X90s now incorporates the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, an improvement over the Dimensity 9200 found in the X90. Furthermore, the X90s introduces two fresh color options, white and green, expanding the range of choices available to consumers.

Vivo X90s Features

With the exception of the new color options, the vivo X90s maintains an identical visual design to its predecessor, the vivo X90. It showcases a 6.78-inch AMOLED display boasting a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, all X90s variants come equipped with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM as standard, ensuring speedy performance and efficient multitasking capabilities.

The rear camera setup of the vivo X90s remains unchanged from its predecessor. On the front, there is a 32MP camera for capturing high-quality selfies.

In terms of software, the X90s runs on vivo’s OriginOS 3, which is layered on top of the Android 13 operating system, providing a smooth and customizable user experience.

Powering the device is a substantial 4,810mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging. This rapid charging capability allows for quick and convenient recharging of the device, minimizing downtime.

The vivo X90s boasts Wi-Fi 7 support, enabling faster and more reliable wireless connectivity. It is also equipped with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. This means that the device offers a certain level of protection against dust ingress and can withstand splashes of water, adding peace of mind for users in various environments.
