Ok folks, it is officially official now. Confirming the previous reports, Verizon Wireless has officially announced in it press release that Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX with big battery will be available to purchase from January 26th, this Thursday. It will cost you $299.99 on contract, while the original 16GB Motorola Droid RAZR Black / White / Purple variant’s price tag has slashed to $199.99 by the carrier. Of course, the third party retailers have already start selling them for just $149.99.
Packed with 8.99mm thick profile (7.1mm for OG RAZR), the Motorola Droid RAZR comes with massive and outrageous 3300mAh battery, which is one of the real selling point reasons and it promises all-day, all-night battery life on 4G LTE speeds – that means it will last up to 21.5 hours of talk-time and 15.8 days of stand-by time.
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX comes with the same internals, features as that of the original Droid RAZR handset, including Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, the same 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, 4.3-inch qHD screen (not HD ), 16GB internal memory + 16GB microSD card inserted and if you wan more space, you can also insert a 32GB micro SD card.

If only this thing came with an HD display. I’ve got a D2 and love it, but the Razr would have been more tempting with a better display.
