Windows Phone 7 Mango Will Come With More Than 500 New Features: Steve Ballmer

We’re just few hours ahead of the Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 event at New York where Microsoft is expected to release the latest Windows Phone 7 Mango update to the developers. We have already seen a report citing that the Mango update might be dubbed as Windows Phone 7.1 rather than Windows Phone 7.5 as anticipated earlier. Here is another dose of what we are going to see at the today’s event: Windows Phone 7’s 500 more new features confirmed by Steve Ballmer.

Steve Ballmer was at Japanese Microsoft Developer conference yesterday where he talked a bit about the upcoming Windows Phone 7 update. According to Ballmer, Windows Phone 7 update will bring more than 500 new features to the WP7 phones with the latest Mango update. He also revealed that many Windows Phone OEMs and carriers will be announced at the 5/24 Windows Phone event. We already knew some of the upcoming features as we reported in earlier reports (1, 2) and some of which include: Facebook chat, native Windows Live Messenger, Office 365, Bing Audio, Bing Vision, SMS Dictation, Turn-by-turn navigations etc. These are just few of the 500 feature updates that we are going to see.
