In late December, Asus has started rolling out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the Padfone 2 device. It looks like, the manufacturer is continuing to support the owners of the owners of the Padfone 2, by keeping it up-to-date. Asus is now pushing out a new firmware update for the device, carrying a handful of improvements and enhancements. The software version bumps up to WWE_V10.4.9.6 or RU_V10.4.9.6. The update is currently rolling out for the WWE and RU editions of the Padfone 2. Users can check for the update by hitting Settings –> About PadFone and check further instructions to initiate the OTA update process. Or else you can download the full image of 10.4.9.6 update (709MB of size) from the dedicated Padfone 2 webpage of Asus website and flash it on your device.
