From the leaked renders, it appears that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature a massive circular camera module, housing four distinct lenses. This upgrade signifies Xiaomi’s dedication to surpassing the competition and solidifying its position as a leader in the smartphone camera game. The partnership with Leica, a prominent camera manufacturer, undoubtedly contributes to the device’s exceptional photography capabilities. Overall, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is poised to soar “above” its competitors, offering top-tier features and technology.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro models during MWC. However, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is anticipated to surpass its predecessors in terms of performance and features, boasting remarkable upgrades and advancements. Like the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, the Ultra is expected to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but with even better performance capabilities. Xiaomi is undoubtedly setting the bar high with the Ultra, promising to deliver an improved and impressive device.
Although the details regarding the Xiaomi 13 Ultra are limited, leaked information suggests that the device will feature custom-made Leica Summicron lenses, which are similar to the ones utilized in the Xiaomi 13 Pro. As a result, the Ultra is expected to deliver outstanding camera performance, much like its predecessor. It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 13 Pro has received rave reviews, with many considering it to be one of the top smartphones of the year. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come equipped with a new Leica Vario-Summicron lens. The writing between the lenses indicates that the primary shooter will likely have an f/1.8 aperture, while the telephoto camera will feature an f/3.0 aperture. Additionally, a dual LED flash is expected to be situated on the left side of the camera module, which differs slightly from previously leaked renders. These new camera features, combined with the Ultra’s other impressive capabilities, indicate that Xiaomi is determined to make the Ultra a standout device in the competitive smartphone market.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to have a flat frame but with 2.5D curved edges around the display, offering a sleek and modern design. As for its specifications, rumors suggest that the device will feature a 1″-type Sony IMX989 sensor for its primary 50MP camera, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 50MP telephoto cameras. One of the telephoto lenses is expected to have a periscope lens, enabling extra zoom capabilities, while the other will likely be dedicated to portrait images.
