ZTE Axon 30S with Android 12 launched in China for 1,698 yuan ($237)

Last week, a couple of teaser posters revealed about the arrival of a new ZTE Android smartphone with under-display camera. Today, the company has announced the ZTE Axon 30S in China. It is an updated version of the last year’s ZTE Axon 30.

Looks wise, it is looking very much similar to the Axon 30, and the only difference is on the the software department. The Axon 30S ships with Android 12 OS with ZTE’s own MyOS 12 skin on top. It has a bigger Full HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate powered by Snapdragon 870 processor under the hood. This handset doesn’t have any cuts on the screen – no punch hole and not any kind of notch. It comes equipped with selfie camera tucked under the display. That’s it. No nonsense. You will be looking at a 6.9-inch plain screen. The phone comes bundled with a 55W charger. ZTE Axon 30S comes in black and blue colors and priced at 1,698 yuan (~$237) for the 8GB RAM+128GB UFS 3.1 model, while the 12GB RAM+256GB UFS 3.1 model retails at 2,198 yuan (~$307). The handset is now available for sale in China exclusively. There is no word about global launch of this handset from the manufacturer.
