AT&T today confirmed it will release the new Samsung Galaxy Express and MiFi Hotspot Liberate on November 16th for $99 and $49 respectively on contract. AT&T also announced its LTE expansion in the U.S.
US wireless carriers, AT&T and T-Mobile have introduced a new database for the first time that will block stolen cellphones giving them useless once reported. By the end of November next year, Sprint and Verizon will join into AT&T and T-Mobile’s databases so that the vast majority of US cellphone users will be covered.
Wireless Carrier, Everything Everywhere introduces 4G LTE network for the first time in UK. This LTE network is five times faster than the existing 3G services. The new “4GEE” service start at 500MB for £36 a month and scale up to 8GB for £56.
FCC approves the agreement between the AT&T and Sirius to resolve the potential interference to satellite radio users in adjacent spectrum bands and also allow AT&T to expand its 4G LTE Network.
A purported leak from the “low price leader” Walmart show T-Mobile devices price list which are not available officially. The leak suggest that Samsung Galaxy Note II is going for $299 and LG Optimus L9 for $0.97.
AT&T is ex[ected to bring Windows Phone 8 HTC 8X in two versions soon in the market. The versions are based on storage size of 8GB and 16GB.
T-Mobile’s leaked roadmap suggest that the carrier will launch several devices on their network carrier in late October or early November. The launch schedule includes much anticipated LG Optimus L9 and HTC Windows Phone 8X.
AT&T may start taking pre-orders for its range of Windows Phone 8 devices from October 21. But Windows Phone 8 is expected to launch on October 29 only.
AT&T unveiled Windows Phone 8 powered smartphones Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 on Thursday in New York. Currently pricing of the phones are not yet known.
EE confirms that its new 4G service will begin on October 30 in UK. It will be available in 10 cities enclosed in an initial rollout, with another 6 to follow by the end of this year. EE aims to offer 4G to 98% of the UK population by 2014.
