Sprint’s HTC EVO 3D Coming With ‘Exciting Content’; Launch In 4th Week Of June?

Sprint has yet to announce the exact release date of its next 3D-fangled HTC EVO 3D smartphone. But the carrier has recently announced the details of media content, apps details, games details that will be pre-installed with HTC EVO 3D handset.

HTC EVO 3D will be coming with the blockbuster movie The Green Hornet 3D, Blockbuster On Demand app, Gameloft Storefront giving the access to both 3D and 2D games, the new HTC Watch movie app, Ultimate Spider-Man – Total Maythem 3D (demo version only).

Specs wise, HTC EVO 3D will be powered by the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, skinned with the HTC Sense UI, running on a 1.2GHz Snapdragon MSM8660 chipset, 4.3″ qHD 960 x 450 Auto stereoscopic 3D display, 5 megapixel rear-facing and 1.3 MP front-facing cameras, 1080p video recording in 2D and 720p in 3D, Android Market and a whole host of Google and Sprint services. It will be packed with the CDMA and WiMAX connectivity capabilities.

A leaked header from the Sprint Playbook has revealed the launch date in plain English.The header says, “The Next EVOlution, Week 4: HTC EVO 3D-Glasses Off, 3D On”. A few days back, we’ve reported that the EVO 3D will likely cost $199.99 on contract, and $499.99 without any agreement. You will get $99.99 off of the price value if you trade-in your old HTC EVO 4G or EVO Shift 4G. So you can now head over to a Best Buy store or RadioShack store to place an order on this handset.
