You might have already known that NEC Corporation and NEC Casio Mobile Communications are planning to show case a number of smartphones cum tablets at the upcoming Mobile World congress 2013. The event will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 25-28. Among the devices posted on its official website, “MEDIAS X N-04E” was also one of the smartphones which is packed with new salient features.
Even though the previous report didn’t reveal more info regarding the smartphone, today we have found in which carrier the device will be heading to. One of the largest Japanese carriers, NTT DoCoMo will start taking pre-order for the device from February 22, that is tomorrow and it will be delivered to your doorstep starting March 1.
The smartphone is packed with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon S4 Pro, a 4.7-inch OEL display with 1,280 × 720 pixels resolution, 2GB of RAM, internal storage of the device is 32GB, a microSD card, 1.3 MP CMOS front-facing camera and 13.1 rear facing camera. Coming to the connectivity, MEDIAS X N-04E features Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, DLNA, FekiCa, infrared communication (IrDA), GSM (900/1800/1900MHz), WCDMA (800/850/2100MHz) and LTE capability.
The smartphone weighing around 155g with 136 mm × 68 mm × 10.4 mm in size has a 1980mAh battery and it supports wireless charging capability, waterproof level of (IPX5/8) and a dust-proof level of (IP5X).
NTT DoCoMO will be offering the device in two color variants: Blue and White. As of now, the carrier hasn’t revealed the pricing info of the device. Stay tuned.
