Nothing Ear (2) Gets a Closer Look with Latest Renders and Detailed Specs

Nothing Ear (2)

It has already been reported that Nothing, a company founded by Carl Pei, is set to release a new line of earbuds soon. Today, leaked images of the upcoming Nothing Ear (2) have emerged online, showcasing what seems to be an official set of renders and a comprehensive list of specifications.

Technology publication TheTechOutlook, along with the prolific leakster OnLeaks, recently shared several images of what appear to be official renders of Nothing Ear (2), which is the second iteration of earbuds from Carl Pei’s emerging company. The leaked images reveal a design that is almost identical to the first generation, similar to the first set of renders that were leaked in late January.

This time, a bunch of prelaunch images have surfaced that show the Ear (2) being used, which are probably intended for marketing or promotional purposes, either on Nothing’s website or via social media channels across the internet.

The leaked specifications for the upcoming Nothing Ear (2) earbuds are quite intriguing, as they reveal some notable improvements over the original model. Despite retaining the same 11.6mm drivers, the Ear (2) is considerably lighter, with each earbud weighing only 4.5g compared to the 4.7g of its predecessor. This could potentially provide a more comfortable fit for prolonged usage. Furthermore, the presence of ANC support is a welcome continuation from the first-gen model, which should help block out unwanted background noise for an enhanced listening experience.

It seems that the battery life of Nothing Ear (2) has also received a slight upgrade. While the earbuds themselves still offer a maximum of around 6 hours of playback time, the charging case can now provide a total of 36 hours of battery life, up from the 34 hours offered by the original model. This improved battery performance should provide users with more listening time before needing to recharge their earbuds.

Users of Nothing Ear (2) will have the flexibility to charge their earbuds through either the USB-C port or wirelessly using a Qi-compatible charger.

While there is no official pricing information available for Nothing Ear (2) at this time, it is expected to be similar to the current generation’s price point of $149. The highly-anticipated earbuds are scheduled to launch on March 22, so Nothing fans of the brand won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on this pair.
