Nothing Phone (2) Gets BIS

Speculations have been circulating about the launch of the Nothing Phone (2), with a report last month suggesting that the model number of the device is likely to be A065. Given that the Phone (1) was released in India last year, it’s natural to assume that its successor will also be available in the country. In a recent development, a new Nothing device with the model number AIN065 has been spotted on the BIS authority’s database, indicating that it could be the Indian variant of the upcoming phone.

This latest development has fueled rumors that Nothing may be gearing up for the launch of the device in the coming weeks. Fans eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Nothing Phone (2) in India will likely be pleased with this latest development, as the BIS listing is usually a strong indicator of an impending launch.

Although the BIS listing of the Nothing Phone (2) does not provide any information on the device’s specifications, recent reports have offered some insights. Earlier this month, a Qualcomm executive accidentally revealed that the Phone (2) will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. This suggests that the device will be packed with top-of-the-line features and cutting-edge technology.

Aside from the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, there have been numerous rumors regarding the Nothing Phone (2)’s display and software. According to recent leaks, the device is expected to sport an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which would offer a smooth and seamless visual experience. It is also likely to support an FHD+ resolution.

Additionally, there are rumors that the device will feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner, offering enhanced security and convenience for users. As for its software, the Nothing Phone (2) is rumored to run on the Nothing OS, which is based on the latest Android 13 operating system.

Apart from the aforementioned features, the Nothing Phone (2) is also expected to come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which will allow for seamless multitasking and storage of large files. Additionally, the phone is rumored to pack a 5,000mAh battery with wireless charging support, but there is no information available yet about the device’s fast charging capabilities.

As for the design and cameras, there have been no leaks so far, leaving much to the imagination. However, it is expected that the Nothing Phone (2) will feature an enhanced version of the Glyph interface that was introduced with the Phone (1).

While the BIS certification of the Nothing Phone (2) suggests that the device is nearing its launch, tech analyst Abhishek Yadav has revealed that it is still undergoing testing and awaiting approval. According to Yadav, the launch of the phone is expected to take place in Q3 2023. This means that fans of the Nothing brand may need to exercise some patience before they can get their hands on the highly-anticipated Nothing Phone (2). Nonetheless, the wait is likely to be worth it, as the device is rumored to offer a host of impressive features and top-notch performance.
