First press render of the OnePlus Ace 2 leaked

The OnePlus Ace 2 is due to go on the stage to be officially launched in the coming days, but previous leaks have already spilled a bunch of details about the phone. It is a rebranded version of the OnePlus 11R handset, which will be launched in India on February 7, alongside the OnePlus Pad tablet, and the global variant of OnePlus 11

The latest leak of OnePlus Ace 2 involves an official-looking promotional render. Renowned leaker Ice Universe just took to Twitter to post the first press render showing off the back side of this handset. Now we’ve got a good look at what the OnePlus Ace 2 will look like.

You can clearly observe the phone is a rather radical shift from the recently launched OnePlus 11, adopting the same rear-side circular camera block consisting of three cameras and a flash module. Though, one thing is missing – we can’t see the Hasselblad logo on the camera block. OnePlus branding logo can be spotted at center on the back side of the device. Volume rocking buttons, an alert slider, as well as a power button can also been on the right and left sides.

As per previous leaks, and it is going to carry the similar hardware specs as that of the OnePlus 11R handset, we can say it will be powered by an under-clocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, which is the same chipset that has been used on recently released smartphones  such as iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition, OPPO Reno 9 Pro Plus, Honor 80 Pro, and Honor 80 GT. The chipset’s prime Cortex-X2 core is running at 3.0 GHz, while the three Cortex-A710 Gold cores are capped at 2.5GHz.

The OnePlus Ace 2 will have a 6.67-inch display with a 2772×1240 pixels resolution. The prototype device can be seen to be using Sony IMX890 and Sony IMX766 sensors as the primary camera. This means either one of the two camera sensors will be used in the final product. The Snapdragon chipset will be paired up with with 8GB / 12GB / 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage configurations.

For camera optics, there’s an OIS-enabled 50MP primary camera, joined with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP camera on the back side. On the front, there might be a 16MP camera for handling selfies and video chats. The device will debut with OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS.

The OnePlus Ace 2 will boot OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS out of the box, and the entire device will be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery using 100W fast charging speeds.

There is no concrete information regarding the launch date and pricing details for this device yet. The OnePlus Ace 2 is expected to compete with Realme GT Neo 4, iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition, and Redmi K60 handsets in the Chinese markets.
