Television manufacturer Vizio announced its first ever Android tablet VTAB1008 during this year’s CES. Since then we know that the device is slowly gearing up for launch with the reports of the tablet hitting the FCC and leaked $349 price tag at Walmart, and its appearance in the leaked memo of the Walmart suggesting that the launch date for the tablet was fast approaching. And today the pre-orders for the tablet have gone live. The 8-inch Android tablet will set you back $379.99 and will be available in the stores starting July 18th.
Specs wise Vizio Android tablet (VTAB1008) features an 8-inch 1024 x 768 LCD capacitive multi-touch display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, powered by 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, front-facing VGA camera for video chat, 4GB of internal memory, memory expansion up to 32GB via microSD card, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, built-inn IR blaster with universal remote app, microUSB port, micro HDMI 1.4 port, 3.5mm audio jack etc.
